Since the 1970s, TED has hosted a series of conferences. It’s an amazing opportunity to share innovative and inspiring ideas with the rest of the world. Technology, design, art and photography are all topics.

Here’s a list of the top TED talks about creativity and photography to inspire you. Here are some artists who are using photography to change the world.

The passing of time, captured in one photo by Stephen Wilkes

Stephen Wilkes is a remarkable observer of detail. To create one seamless photo, he takes thousands of photos. Although it sounds simple, this is not possible when you capture the entire day in one photo. His photographs capture the passing of time and are presented as one image of a day frozen in history. Stephen mixes images from different times of day to show the day and night together. This gives you a new perspective on beautiful places and allows you to see them from a different angle in 24 hours.

“As technology develops with photography, photos will not only communicate an deeper meaning of memory and time, but also create a new narrative of untold tales, creating a timeless window to our world.”

Erik Johansson Impossible Photography

Erik Johansson’s work is probably all over the Internet. Eric did the impossible. Eric seamlessly blends his photos so that they fool your eyes. It is amazing to see his work. Eric uses a long process to achieve this level of photorealism. He tells us all about it in this talk.

Planning is the key to achieving a realistic result. The process starts with a sketch or an idea. Next, it’s about combining different photos. Every piece of the puzzle is well-planned. The results can be very beautiful and realistic if you capture the photos well. All the tools are available, but our imagination .” is the only limit.

Photography’s Silent Drama by Sebastiao Salado

Sebastiao did not get an early start in photography. Sebastiao stumbled upon the field accidentally but made huge waves. He shares his story about how he discovered photography and the traumatizing experiences. The changes he documented remind me how powerful photography is in influencing us.

We must rebuild these forests. These forests are the heart of our existence. We must breathe. Forests are the only factories capable of converting CO2 into oxygen. Trees are the only machine that can capture the carbon we are constantly producing. Even if they reduce it, all that we do is produce CO2. Three or four weeks ago, I asked the question. We saw in the newspapers millions upon millions of dead fish in Norway. The water is not oxygenated. I asked myself, “If we don’t have oxygen for all animals, including ours?” .”

Photographs of Secret Sites taken by Taryn Simon

Taryn visited hidden and undiscovered sites over five years. She sought to expose the inaccessible and challenge the limits of the citizen. She photographed nuclear waste storage, hymenoplasty photos, a jury simulating deliberation room and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection area. Also, she included exhibition art from the CIA in Landley and the Forensic Anthropology Research Facility. Many other subjects and facilities are left to the imagination in a taboo world.

“Photography threatens fantasy. They refused to allow my camera in because it confronts myths, constructed realities, and beliefs and offers what appears to be evidence for truth. There are many truths to every image. It all depends on the creator’s intent, the viewer, and the presented context. I>

My wish: To use art to transform the world from within by JR

JR was a graffiti artist from a young age. He got a camera one day and began documenting his adventures. One day, he also started to document the faces and people of Le Bosquet. To counter the media, he made posters from them and put them all over the city. The same idea was then used to create the largest illegal art exhibit in the Middle East. This talk focuses on the big question: Could art help change the world?

“Now, my wish is that you stand up for the things you care about and participate in a global arts project. Together we will turn the world upside down. This is for everyone. Everyone is watching. That was my wish .”
